William J. Brennan, Jr. Citation for Justice
Charles Forman, President of NJBLF accepted the William J. Brennan, Jr. Citation for Justice from Legal Services of New Jersey for providing emergency funds that support LSNJ’s clients through challenging times. The New Jersey Bankruptcy Lawyers Foundation was created to raise funds from the bankruptcy bar and their associates to assist debtors and other financially distressed individuals. NJBLF is a privately funded, statewide, nonprofit organization committed to reaching out to individuals in genuine need of additional financial assistance.
A Night at Laurita Winery

We kicked off the 2022 season with A Night at Laurita Winery! Great night of food, drinks and conversation. NJBLF and The Bankruptcy Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association sponsored the event. The Loft at Laurita Winery located in New Egypt, New Jersey was a beautiful setting for a great night.
Annual Golf and Tennis Outing at Maplewood Country Club

The Annual Golf and Tennis Outing is always a well-attended event. This year NJBLF partnered with IWIRC to sponsor the event. Maplewood Country Club provided a great setting for the day and the weather was ideal. The day-long event was capped off with good food and recognition for the best at golf and tennis.
An Evening of Celebration and Awards

The premier event of the year is the Gala. This year we recognized four outstanding members of our community. Kenneth Rosen was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Marie-Ann Greenberg received the Hugh M. Leonard Award. Rebecca Earl was selected for the Future Leader Award. Nona Ostrove was chosen for the Volunteer of the Year Award. This year’s event was held at Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. A beautiful backdrop for a wonderful evening.
Cocktail Party at Brio Italian Grille
Our last event celebrated a successful year for NJBLF and honored the volunteers for the Honorable Judith H. Wizmur Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project at Rutgers Law School. The Project pairs students with volunteer attorneys to interview low-income clients and to prepare and file bankruptcy petitions.
